Keeping Our Guests Safe

As we prepare ourselves to welcome you back to Karibu Camps & Lodges, we are committed to providing you with a safe and clean environment.

Karibu Camps & Lodges since its opening has always emphasized in health, hygiene and safety of its guests and associates. With the COVID -19 pandemic, this has for sure become our first and foremost priority.

We have implemented the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) set by the Ministry of Health Tanzania. These have been developed and based on the WHO and other international guidelines.

Below are the key factors Karibu Camps & Lodges have put in place to meet the health and safety challenges presented by COVID -19 and adhered by the staff.

Bookings

Starting with bookings we will work on 50% Occupancy in order to have maximum social distancing.

Public Areas

For all our camps we are going above and beyond our normal protocols. We are cleaning the surfaces with increased frequency, dedicated staff, and recommended cleaning agents.

Sanitizers

Sanitizer stations will be placed around the receptions, dining and lounge area. Each Room will be provided with sanitizers.

Social Distancing

We will be having signage to remind guests to maintain social distancing. We also recommend the use of masks/shields in public areas.

Guest Rooms

All rooms will be cleaned thoroughly with high-quality cleaning detergents and rooms will be unoccupied for 24 hours before the next guest.

Staff

All our staff are trained to follow the protocols. Making sure they wear masks, gloves, hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times. Inspections are done by the management on cleanliness and hygiene of the full camp on a regular basis.

Regular use of hand sanitizer is encouraged with various sanitizing stations placed throughout the camp.
Our Staff will wear masks or face shields at all times in line with best practice protocols.
Regular temperature checks for our staff.
We enforce social distancing at all times, including mandatory vacancy of the room for 24 hours after guest check out.
Regular sanitization of high traffic areas at the lodges and camps.
Our team has been thoroughly trained for emergency protocols.
