June — October
Clear skies, concentrated wildlife at remaining water sources, and optimal light. This is peak safari — reliable viewing and the migration at its most dramatic.
| Game Viewing | Excellent — animals concentrated at water; open sight lines |
| Migration | July–Sep: Mara River crossings in northern Serengeti |
| Weather | Dry and stable; warm days, cool mornings |
| Crowds | Highest Jul–Sep; June and October noticeably quieter |

Serengeti
The migration reaches its most visible phase. Grumeti crossings in June–July give way to Mara crossings Aug–Oct — predators patrol both zones relentlessly.
- River crossing spectacles
- Peak predator activity
- Best photographic light and visibility

Ngorongoro
High wildlife density inside the caldera year-round, but dry months offer clearest visibility. Big Five sightings are consistent and the crater floor is easily navigated.
- Reliable Big Five encounters
- Clear skies and long sight lines
- Varied light across the day

Tarangire
Elephants converge on the Tarangire River in enormous herds. Fewer visitors than the Serengeti, ancient baobabs frame the landscape, and the atmosphere is unhurried.
- Massive elephant gatherings
- Iconic baobab scenery
- Quieter, more intimate safaris
